Fox re-signs Erin Andrews to three-year deal, keeps her with top broadcast crew

Fox has re-signed NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews to a three-year deal following an offseason that saw top broadcast team Joe Buck and Troy Aikman leave for ESPN. She will stay with the net’s top NFL crew of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen in '22, and then Burkhardt and Tom Brady once he retires. Andrews, appearing on Jimmy Traina’s SI.com podcast, said, “I signed a contract. I quietly did that. I figured enough was enough with the headlines for a while. My deal was up in August. Fox came to me pretty much right away and just said, ‘We want to keep you here.’” She added, “My bosses at Fox, Eric Shanks and Brad Zager, were very upfront with me. Even upfront with me when I would call and be like, ‘What’s going on? What’s happening? What’s the plan? I just want to know what the plan is.’ And they would just say, ‘Hang on, hang on. I promise you’re going to be happy, just hang on.’” Andrews previously worked with Burkhardt when she first arrived at Fox in ’12, and she said the two of them “already have a great relationship.” Despite not having worked with Olsen, she said she “always sought out” Olsen during his playing career ("SI Media Podcast," SI.com, 6/30).
