Chief Executive Officer, USA Track & Field

Siegel is the only Black leader of an American national governing body, and he’s constructed a remarkably diverse organization since taking over the top role at USATF in 2012. His executive team is largely made up of women, including Chief Operating Officer Renee Chube Washington, Chief Financial Officer Sara Reese and Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Sarah Hollis. Organizational staff is 52% women and 41% people of color. Through his longtime ownership of Rev Racing, Siegel also operates NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program along with his wife, Jennifer. Alumni of the program include current Cup Series drivers Kyle Larson and Bubba Wallace.

The two talk about the company’s interest in sports rights, with Sherman noting that the company is in a cost-cutting mode, which is one reason why it has not been active in media rights negotiations over the past several months.
