Ann Seeney

Chief People and Diversity Officer, U.S. Soccer

Former Vice President, Human Resources, St. Louis Cardinals

Seeney joined U.S. Soccer in a newly created role on March 21 after nearly 10 years with the Cardinals, where she led an organization-wide DEI push. The Hampton University alum helped launch the Cardinals’ DEI Committee in 2018 and their diversity internship program in 2019. She also served for six years on the board of St. Louis-based Diversity Awareness Partnership and hosted the Cardinals’ annual youth baseball career immersion program through DAP corporate sponsorship. Seeney’s DEI impact also extended to the field: She coordinated unconscious bias training for scouts in 2020. The team’s 2020 draft included four African American players out of seven drafted. In February, she was named board chair for Pro Sports Assembly.
