Chinese esports organization Oh My God (OMG) announced today on Weibo that CEO Xiaowen Shan has resigned. The organization has not announced the replacement for her position yet, and it did not disclose the reason behind her resignation.

Founded in 2012, OMG is one of the oldest esports teams in China’s top League of Legends circuit, the League of Legends Pro League (LPL). The team’s best finish in League of Legends was a top-4 finish at League of Legends World Championship 2014. However, it became the underdog team in the recent LPL. Apart from League of Legends, it did win China’s first PUBG world championship, the PUBG Global Invitational (PGI), in 2018.

Shan’s esports journey is impressive. She was not only one of the few female CEOs in LPL but also the first esports psychologist in LPL history. Shan joined OMG in 2014 as the team psychologist and got promoted to the CEO in 2019 due to her “outstanding ability,” OMG stated in 2019.
