Blast and Nike team up to launch esports-inspired apparel line

By Kevin Hitt

Global esports tournament organizer Blast has come together with Nike to create an esports-inspired apparel line that celebrates gaming culture. The line, which debuts in August, spotlights people and the personalities in gaming and esports — including those behind the scenes.

The collection consists of a T-shirt, cap, hoodie, and jersey that blends Blast’s blue and gold color scheme with the iconic Nike Swoosh logo. General sales for the apparel will start during the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Blast Premier Fall Groups taking place between Aug. 19-28.

Blast Premier is one of the more important CS:GO series in esports. It will see up to 32 teams compete in the seven Blast Premier events throughout the year, with a combined prize pool of $2,475,000.

This isn’t Nike’s first foray into esports. The apparel giant signed a deal to become the exclusive official apparel and footwear partner of China’s League of Legends Pro League (LPL) through 2022. It has also partnered with the esports organization T1 and League of Legends superstar Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok in January.
