Hertz rolling out new ads with Tom Brady

Roughly two months after Tom Brady’s 40-day retirement, Hertz and agency partner Shadow Lion have him in a new ad “telling an actor to imagine he’s been in the same job for 22 years, retired on a whim and took a road trip, only to ultimately decide all he needed was a vacation,” according to Jason Notte of Hertz gets the Brady retirement joke “out of the way” in the first of its newly released ads. But the spot quickly brings him back to get an overworked woman who isn’t “feelin’ it” into a rental car and onto a beach. Brady is also featured in a series of short clips alongside Hertz co-star Alyssa Limperis. Known simply as “Alyssa” in the spots, she’s seen "charging her rental side-by-side with Brady and espousing the merits of the Hertz theme music as it plays through shared earbuds." The new ads come after Brady "was a cornerstone" of the car rental company's fall campaign (, 5/19).
