Former longtime Patriots radio color analyst GINO CAPPELLETTI, who is "enshrined in the American Football League and the Patriots Halls of Fame," died Thursday at 89. Cappelletti played for the Patriots during their AFL days and still "remains the AFL's points leader." He was Patriots radio color analyst for 32 years, 28 of them with late broadcasting partner GIL SANTOS, including 21 consecutive years before Cappelletti retired in '12. He annually represented the Patriots at "A Taste of the NFL" at the Super Bowl, a "hunger relief party benefitting food banks in the host city." Funeral arrangements are "pending" (BOSTON GLOBE, 5/13).

NAMES: Grizzlies G JA MORANT and WNBA Chicago Sky F CANDACE PARKER are "among the athletes being honored with Achievement Awards by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame." Nashville SC Majority Owner JOHN INGRAM, who led the effort to bring MLS to the city, is the HOF's '22 "Tennessean of the Year." The honors "will be presented at the hall's 2022 banquet on July 23 in Nashville" (AP, 5/13)....Proskauer Rose Partner BRAD RUSKIN was honored last night at the Legal Aid Society's Servant of Justice Awards (Legal Aid Society).
