Spotify Technology SA promoted The Ringer Founder BILL SIMMONS to Global Head of Sports Content and Managing Dir of The Ringer. Simmons will continue to oversee The Ringer, which Spotify CEO DANIEL EK "has said could become the next ESPN." Simmons will report to Spotify Head of U.S. Studios & Video JULIE MCNAMARA (BLOOMBERG, 5/12).

WWE named former Beautycounter Chief People Officer SUZETTE RAMIREZ-CARR Chief Human Resources Officer. Ramirez-Carr's oversight will include talent acquisition, employee experience, development and engagement and HR operations and training. She will report to Chair & CEO VINCE MCMAHON (WWE).
The L.A. Times promoted Deputy Sports Editor ILIANA LIMÓN ROMERO to Assistant Managing Editor/Sports. Limón Romero "joins The Times masthead" and becomes the "first female sports editor in its history, and the only Latina sports editor at a major U.S. newspaper." She will report to Deputy Managing Editor JULIA TURNER (L.A. TIMES, 5/12). The L.A. Times also promoted Exec Sports Editor CHRIS STONE to Deputy Managing Editor/New Initiatives & VP/L.A. Times Studios. He will report to Managing Editor/New Initiatives & Senior VP/L.A. Times Studios SHANI HILTON (L.A. TIMES, 5/12).
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference named former St. Cloud State AD HEATHER WEEMS Commissioner. She replaces JOSH FENTON, who left the NCHC to become Summit League Commissioner. Weems "will start her new job on July 6" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 5/13).

The NFL named former M&C Saatchi Public Relations Dir SAMMI LIANG Communications Dir (SBJ).

The Pro Football HOF named ANTHONY MUÑOZ Chief Football Relationship Officer. His primary responsibilities in the newly-created staff position are to "engage with current and prospective business partners and sponsors, be involved in philanthropic efforts for the Hall and join others within the organization in promoting its mission and initiatives." Muñoz will report directly to Pro Football HOF President JIM PORTER (Canton REPOSITORY, 5/13).
