The NFL Giants named former Dolphins GM DENNIS HICKEY Assistant Dir of Player Personnel, according to a source. Hickey slots in under Giants Senior VP/Player Personnel CHRIS MARA and Dir of Player Personnel TIM MCDONNELL, but he "fills an important role given his history as a GM" (N.Y. POST, 5/10).

The National Wheelchair Basketball Association elected USOPC Athlete Advisory Council Representative DARLENE HUNTER President. Hunter will fill the one-year term remaining for former President TIM FOX, who announced his resignation in late '21. She will assume the role on May 16 (NWBA).

Sports agency Gold Rabbit Sports named former Octagon Senior VP/Property Rights Consulting & Integrated Marketing and Collaboration Lifestyle & Sports co-Founder NICK GRIFFITH Senior VP. He joins former Octagon Exec VP and Head of Partnership Marketing ANDRE SCHUNK, who is CEO & Founder of Gold Rabbit Sports (LinkedIn).

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment named Canadian Red Cross Dir of Corporate Partnerships NASER MALIK Dir of Global Partnership Development & Innovation (LinkedIn).

ESPN named former Louisville Courier Journal Sports Dir REINA KEMPT Senior Editor/NBA (TWITTER.com, 5/9).

Fanatics promoted JON PASSEN to In-Venue Retail Divisional Merchandise Manager (LinkedIn).

The WNBA named former NBA Strategic Communications Writer for NBA & WNBA TISH CARMONA Associate Manager/Contractual Marketing Manager (LinkedIn).

Ohio State Senior Associate AD/Sport Administration JOCELYN GATES will depart later this month to move to Columbia, Mo., where her husband has recently been named the head coach of the Univ. of Missouri men’s basketball team, and to pursue another career opportunity (OSU). Gates was hired last June to "oversee OSU athletics' diversity and inclusion efforts and serve as the liaison to compliance and student-athlete support services," but her most visible role to fans was as the "sport administrator for football, which included scheduling and bowl planning." Ohio State Senior Associate AD/Athletics CAREY HOYT "will take on Gates' responsibility this year" as she enters her sixth year at the administrative level with the school (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 5/10).
