Mary Teeter

Director of Development, U.S. Soccer

Mary joined U.S. Soccer in 2013 to help launch the Federation's development activities. Together with her team, Mary has grown the program into a multi-million-dollar department, funding Federation initiatives to build the next generation of world-class players, coaches, referees, and National Teams. In her role, she’s organized and supported programming around multiple Men’s and Women’s World Cups, Gold Cups, Copa America, and the United Bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Mary's background includes the Peace Corps, United Way, and public affairs work in Washington, D.C. and London, England. She studied at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and St. Andrews University in Scotland. Her first job was as a sports writer for her Pennsylvania hometown newspaper, The Gettysburg Times.
