Matt Deimund

Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development; & Managing Director, Fanbase, LEARFIELD

Matt Deimund serves as SVP of Corporate Strategy & Development and as the Managing Director of Fanbase at LEARFIELD, the premier college sports media & technology company.

In his role, Matt leads the Corporate Strategy & Development function and is responsible for working with executives across the enterprise to execute on the company’s strategic direction. This includes assessing innovation opportunities for new business lines, as well as specific improvement opportunities within existing businesses. Matt is also responsible for forming enterprise commercial partnerships and exploring incremental investment opportunities and/or acquisitions.

Additionally, Matt is the Managing Director of Fanbase, which is the largest data & analytics platform in college sports and a key pillar of LEARFIELD’s fan-centric strategy. Fanbase works with ~110 Division I Athletic Departments, helping combine complex data sets from ticketing, development, ecommerce, social media, and more. As a part of his Fanbase leadership responsibilities, Matt oversees LEARFIELD’s Data & Analytics team and Insights team, comprised of multi-disciplined data scientists and analysts that make sense of the millions of fan records in Fanbase and other leading syndicated data sources.

Prior to LEARFIELD, Matt was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, the world’s leading management consulting firm. While at McKinsey, Matt served a significant number of Fortune 500 clients primarily on marketing and sales topics for technology and media companies, with time spent living in both New York and Dallas.

Matt graduated summa cum laude from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, where he double majored in Finance and Accounting. Matt also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Matt is originally from the small town of Weatherford, Oklahoma and now lives in Richardson, TX with his wife Paige, and 3 children – Hallie (6), Jake (4), and Sydney (3). He is an active member at Watermark Community Church and enjoys playing with his kids, exercising, and watching college sports.
